Total Cost of the project (in Nu/): Nu 2,280,000.00

Objectives of the project

  • To empower women and local youth by providing skills and knowledge    to    create    their    own    employment opportunities; thus preventing rural-urban migrat
  • To improve food-self sufficiency and enhance income generation opportunities  through  product diversification.

  • Communities of Orong and Lauri Gewogs

  • Pottery as a main source of income for womens group
  • Employment opportunities for youth in the community through cane and bamboo crafts
  • Bamboo crafts sustainability

Main activities

  • Formation of women’s pottery group in Menchari village
  • Conduct 2 trainings for the group on pottery skills and marketing

  • Training farmers on paddy cultivation through SRI method in Phajo Goenpa village on 24 acres of land
