Target Groups/Final Beneficiaries:
40 women and youth from Tashichoeling, Samtse District.
Expected results
40 women/youth from Tashichoeling community of Samtse Dzongkhag trained on waste management and their weaving skills using plastic waste to develop alternative product improved.
Community awareness on re-purposing waste as secondary resources, such as PET bottles for hollow fill and plastic waste for storage baskets and furniture, increased.
Main activities
A 21-day training program on weaving bags/baskets out of waste plastic.
