Objectives of the project

• To strengthen the management systems of the 10 registered CBOs in Tsirang through Dynamic Accountability.
• Capacitate the members of CBOs on Dynamic Accountability.
• Bridge the gap between the CBOs and the Local Governments of the Districts and institute relevant systems to strengthen it to benefit the communities better.

Estimated results

• The Authorities and the key representatives of the CBOs are fully aware of the project.
• The Governance Mechanisms of 10 CBOs Reviewed.
• A training module to be conducted for 50 members of the CBOs and 12 Local Government officials on strengthening the governance mechanisms of CBOs is developed based on the assessment report.
• Members of CBOs and LG officials trained on the Dynamic Accountability mechanism.
• A mutually agreeable framework of engagement between CBOs and LG is developed and instituted.

Main activities

1. Conduct consultative workshops with the LG Authorities and the key representatives of the registered CBOs.
2. Review the internal governance mechanisms of 10 CBOs.
3. Presentation of the report to stakeholders.
4. Develop a training module on Accountability.
5. Conduct training.
6. Develop a framework of engagement between the CBOs and the Local Governments.
