Objectives of the project
- To advocate for meaningful youth participation through advocacy dialogue and educational deliberation for LG leaders and local youth representatives in ten pilot Gewogs.
- To identify actions to promote young people’s right to participate in public affairs, civic processes, platforms, and policy-making, at all local levels.
Target groups/ final beneficiaries
- Local government leaders, adults, youths, and communities.
Estimated results
- LG leaders, adults, and youths can understand, appreciate and acknowledge the value of meaningful youth participation in the local plans and policies and practice inclusivity.
- Youths and the community are aware of the young people’s right to participate and develop a local system/mechanism for youths’ representatives to participate in public matters of the Gewog.
Main activities
- Partnership meetings and Consultation with stakeholders.
- Consult with experts and institutions to discuss advocacy material and resources.
- Develop the module and contents for advocacy dialogue for youths and community leaders.
- Conduct Advocacy dialogue and educational deliberation in ten gewogs.
- Understanding our community: A case study-based engagement.
